About Me
My name is Zeke.
I'm a Malaysian creator, builder, and business operator with a background in accounting, finance, marketing, and business development.
But if I had to describe myself more honestly:
I'm someone obsessed with how businesses grow, how people think, how ideas spread, and how ordinary people can build extraordinary lives through better thinking, better systems, and better execution.
I studied Accounting and Finance at UNSW not because I wanted to become the typical finance guy, but because I wanted to understand the language of business.
Accounting taught me how businesses actually work beneath the surface.
Finance taught me how capital moves, how decisions compound, and how risk should be understood.
Marketing taught me how attention is earned.
Sales taught me how trust is built.
And building things taught me that ideas are cheap, but execution is everything.
One of my earliest real experiences was doing bookkeeping and bank reconciliation in a traditional business, comparing printed bank statements with internal records, line by line.
It was not glamorous. It was repetitive.
But it taught me something I have never forgotten:
Most businesses don't fail because people are lazy. They fail because their systems are outdated, their processes are unclear, and too much human energy is spent on work that should have been automated or improved.
That insight became the thread that runs through everything I do.
Since then, I have worked across content creation, marketing, consulting, procurement, sales, and business development, across industries ranging from scientific equipment to AI deployment.
I have built content pages. Worked with SME clients. Helped traditional businesses modernise. Explored AI tools before most people in Malaysia were taking them seriously.
Each experience gave me a different lens.
And this website is where I connect those lenses together.
Right now, I am building Dodeez, an app that solves a problem every food lover in Malaysia knows too well.
You scroll through Instagram or TikTok, you see someone eating at an incredible place, you save the video, and then you forget about it forever.
Dodeez fixes that. Save a food video from social media, and Dodeez identifies the restaurant for you, so you can actually go.
It is a simple idea. But behind it is a belief I hold strongly: the best food discoveries in this country are already happening on social media. People just need a better way to act on them.
I also create content in English and Mandarin, because I believe most financial and business education in this region is either too academic, too Western, or too surface-level to be genuinely useful.
I write for a few groups of people.
For investors and future partners, this is how I think, what I value, and how I make decisions.
For SME owners and operators, this is what I have seen on the ground, not just in theory.
For young Malaysians, especially those building careers or businesses, this is what I wish someone had told me earlier.
And for my future children, this is a record of who I was, what I believed, what I struggled with, and what I was building while becoming the person they will one day know as their father.
What I believe:
I believe your thinking shapes your life.
I believe business is one of the best ways to understand human nature.
I believe AI will change how businesses operate, but only people who understand both technology and human behaviour will use it well.
I believe money gives you options, but meaning gives you direction.
I believe the person you become while building something is often more important than the thing you build.
I don't write because I have everything figured out.
I write because I am figuring it out.
And this is where I document the process.
